भामिनीविलासः-३२

नेत्राभिरामं रामाया वदनं वीक्ष्य तत्क्षणम् ।

सरोजं चन्द्रबिम्बं वेत्यखिलाः समशेरत ॥ ११५ ॥

अन्वयः : अखिलाः नेत्राभिरामं रामायाः वदनं वीक्ष्य तत्क्षणं सरोजं चन्द्रबिम्बं वा इति समशेरत ।

Looking at the beautiful face of the charming lady, all got a doubt if it was a lotus or the orb of the moon.

कनकद्रवकान्तिकान्तया मिलितं राममुदीक्ष्य कान्तया ।

चपलायुतवारिदभ्रमात् ननृते चातकपोतकैर्वने ॥ ११६ ॥

अन्वयः : कनकद्रव-कान्ति-कान्तया कान्तया मिलितं रामम् उदीक्ष्य वने चातकपोतकैः चपला-युत-वारिद-भ्रमात् ननृते ।

Looking at Rama who was meeting his beloved (Sita) who had the luster of liquid gold, the young cataka birds danced mistaking them to be a cloud with lightening. [Rama is dark like cloud while Sita has the luster of lightening. Seeing them together Cataka birds mistook that cloud with lightening had appeared.]

वनितेति वदन्त्येतां लोकाः सर्वे वदन्तु ते ।

यूनां परिणता सेयं तपस्येति मतं मम ॥ ११७ ॥

अन्वयः : सर्वे लोकाः एतां वनिता इति वदन्ति । ते वदन्तु । सा इयं यूनां परिणता तपस्या इति मम मतम् ।

All people call her a woman. Let them call so. In my view she is the fulfillment of all penances undertaken by the youth!

स्मयमानाननां तत्र तां विलोक्य विलासिनीम् ।

चकोराश्चञ्चरीकाश्च मुदं परतरां ययुः ॥ ११८ ॥

अन्वयः: चकोराः चञ्चरीकाः च तत्र तां विलासिनीं स्मयमान-आननां विलोक्य परतरां मुदं ययुः ।

Cakora birds and bees became very happy looking at the smiling face of that playful lady there. [Cakora birds mistook the face to be moon and bees mistook it to be a full blown lotus!]

वदनकमलेन बाले स्मितसुषमालेशमादधासि यदा ।

जगदिह तदैव जाने दशार्धबाणेन विजितमिति ॥ ११९ ॥

अन्वयः : बाले! यदा वदनकमलेन स्मितसुषमालेशम् आदधासि तदा एव इह जगत् दशार्ध-बाणेन विजितम् इति जाने ।

Young lady! When you carry an element of the charms of a smile on your lotus-like face, I know that this world has been conquered by the cupid.

कालिन्दजानीरभरेऽर्धमग्ना बकाः प्रकामं कृतभूरिशब्दाः ।

ध्वान्तेन वैराद्विनिगीर्यमाणाः क्रोशन्ति मन्ये शशिनः किशोराः ॥ १२० ॥

अन्वयः : कालिन्दजा-नीर-भरे अर्धमग्नाः बकाः प्रकामं कृत-भूरि-शब्दाः वैरात् ध्वान्तेन विनिगीर्यमाणाः शशिनः किशोरा (इति) मन्ये ।

Cranes which are half immersed in the expanses of Yamuna’s waters and are making a lot of noise, I believe, are children of the moon crying for being thrown out by darkness. [ Cranes being white and Yamuna’s waters being traditionally described as dark enable the poet to draw this exaggeration.]

परस्परासङ्गसुखान्नतभ्रुवः पयोधरौ पीनतरौ बभूवतुः ।

तयोरमृष्यनयमुन्नतिं परामवैमि मध्यः स्तनिमानमेति ॥ १२१ ॥

अन्वयः : नतभ्रुवः पयोधरौ परस्परासङ्घसुखात् पीनतरौ बभूवतुः । तयोः नयम् उन्नतिम् अमृष्यन् मध्यः स्तनिमानम् एति (इति) अवैमि ।

The breasts of the lady with bent eye-brows became larger due to their happy mutual togetherness. I think her waist has thinned down being unable to tolerate the manner and exaltedness of them (breasts).
