भामिनीविलासः-३८
पाणौ कृतः पाणिरिलासुतायाः सस्वेदकम्पो रघुनन्दनेन ।
हिमाम्बुसङ्गानिलविह्वलस्य प्रभातपद्मस्य बभार शोभाम् ॥ १६९
॥
अन्वयः : रघुनन्दनेन पाणौ कृतः इलासुतायाः सस्वेदकम्पः
पाणिः हिमाम्बु-सङ्ग-अनिल-विह्वलस्य प्रभातपद्मस्य शोभां बभार ।
When Srirama took in his hand the hand of Earth’s
daughter Sita, which was trembling with sweat, it attained the luster of a lotus
in the morning when disturbed by the breeze laden with cold moisture.
अरुणमपि विद्रुमद्रुं मृदुलतरं चापि किसलयं बाले ।
अधरीकरोति नितरां तवाधरौ मधुरिमातिशयात् ॥ १७० ॥
अन्वयः : बाले! तव अधरौ अरुणं विद्रुमद्रुम् अपि मृदुलतरं
किसलयम् अपि मधुरिमातिशयात् नितराम् अधरीकरोति ।
Young lady! Your lips outshine the red coral tree and the
softer sprouts because of their being very sweet. [Although the lips are like
coral and soft like sprouts, they have sweetness which is absent in coral or
sprout.]
सुदृशो जितरत्नजालया सुरतान्तश्रमबिन्दुमालया ।
अलिकेन च हेमकान्तिना विदधे कापि रुचिः परस्परम् ॥ १७१ ॥
अन्वयः : सुदृशः जितरत्नजालया सुरत-अन्त-श्रम-बिन्दु-मालया
हेमकान्तिना अलिकेन च परस्परं का अपि रुचिः विदधे ।
The string of drops of sweat formed due to fatigue after
her dalliance which out beat a net of pearls (in beauty) and the golden
fore-locks of hair together had an indescribable splendor.
परपूरुषदृष्टिपातवज्राहतिभीता हृदयं प्रियस्य सीता ।
अविशत् परकामिनीभुजङ्गीभयतः सत्वरमेव सोऽपि तस्याः ॥ १७२ ॥
अन्वयः : पर-पूरुष-दृष्टि-पात-वज्र-आहति-भीता सीता प्रियस्य
हृदयं अविशत् । सः अपि परकामिनी-भुजङ्गी-भयतः सत्वरम् एव तस्याः (हृदयं) अविशत् ।
Afraid of being hit by the thunderbolt-like glares of
other men, Sita entered the heart of his beloved (Rama); he too entered her
heart being afraid of the snake-like other women.
अङ्गानि दत्त्वा हेमाङ्गि प्राणान् क्रीणासि चेन्नृणाम् ।
युक्तमेतन्न तु पुनः कोणम् नयनपद्मयोः ॥ १७३ ॥
अन्वयः : हेमाङ्गि! अङ्गानि दत्त्वा नृणां प्राणान्
क्रीणासि चेत्, एतत् युक्तम् । न तु पुनः नयनपद्मयोः कोणं (दत्त्वा) ।
Lady of golden limbs! If you buy men’s hearts by giving
your body, it is alright; but (it is not alright) if you steal the hearts of
men by just giving a side-glance.
जितरत्नरुचां सदा रदानां सहवासेन परां मुदं ददानाम् ।
विरसादधरीकरोति नासामधुना साहसशालि मौक्तिकं ते ॥ १७४ ॥
अन्वयः : ते साहसशालि मौक्तिकं जित-रत्न-रुचां रदानां
सहवासेन सदा मुदं ददानां नासां विरसात् अधुना अधरीकरोति ।
The nose which was dispensing joy (to beholders) by
virtue if its constant contact with the teeth whose luster defeats that of gems,
is now being overshadowed by your adventurous nose-pearl. [The nose pearl’s
luster is detracting the gaze of beholders.]
विलसत्याननं तस्याः नासाग्रस्थितमौक्तिकम् ।
आलक्षितबुधाश्लेषं राकेन्दोरिव मण्डलम् ॥ १७५ ॥
अन्वयः : तस्याः नासा-अग्र-स्थित-मौक्तिकम् आननं
आलक्षित-बुध-आश्लेषं राकेन्दोः मण्डलम् इव विलसति ।
Her face with the pearl at the
tip of her nose looks enchanting like the moon’s orb in conjunction with planet
Mercury.
